Here's how the three FSU president hopefuls responded to student questions
The Florida State University Board of Trustees will meet Monday with a goal of selecting its 16th president.
During the meeting, trustees are expected to interview all three candidates at the Augustus B. Turnbull Florida State Conference Center starting at 9 a.m. The Tallahassee Democrat will be sharing the stream on Facebook and offer play-by-play and breaking coverage of the meeting at tallahassee.com
Students had their chance to weigh in on the selection last week. All final three candidates in the running to succeed President John Thrasher have histories as prominent leaders and student mentors in their universities.
Each candidate participated in a separate forum, giving FSU students the chance to pose their questions directly. Here's what they had to say.

FSU Researchers experiment with candidate material for quantum computers
A team of physicists from Florida State University’s National High Magnetic Field Laboratory and the Los Alamos National Laboratory have developed a new technique for understanding the magnetism of quantum spin liquids. Using this technique, researchers have been analyzing ruthenium trichloride, a compound theorized to be compatible with quantum computing.

FSU students experience in-person voting at the Civic Center, some for the first time
On Nov. 3, General Election day, students flocked to the stadium at FSU’s Tucker Center, mostly on foot, as the location is central to most university and Greek Life housing. As students left with their “I voted” sticker, they were greeted by volunteers waiting outside to offer them a free bottle of water or a granola bar along with a warm “congratulations” for casting their ballot.
